In 2020, we entered a competition with the Greater Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce with the task to create neighborhood People Spaces. Our design concept created moveable surfaces with multiple materials – from plantings to hard surfaces for working at and sitting on. We took inspiration from the art galleries and breweries in the Ravenswood Corridor, from the pops of color to the pergola draped in hops. In between the structure’s “fins” we left spaces for interchangeable artwork and advertising opportunities. While we didn’t make it to the final round of selection process, we are excited to take part in these place-making structures in our hyper-local community.
